Home investors in Bangalore are spoilt for choice, with an array of apartments, villas, and plots up for grabs. So how do you know which is better to buy in Bangalore, an apartment or a plot?
Appreciation – The rate of appreciation of an apartment is usually slower than that of a plot. Also, the value of an apartment goes down over time due to wear and tear of the building. A plot of land, however, shows significant appreciation in value.
Privacy – Constructing a residence on a plot of land ensures complete privacy as there are no shared walls with any neighbors. There is an unsurpassed sense of exclusivity and space that comes with owning a plot of land.
Safety – Apartment complexes are safe spaces as they usually have several safety and security measures in place. You and your family are watched over at all times, which is a significant advantage of owning an apartment. A plot of land, on the other hand, could be stand-alone and does not provide the safety that an apartment does.
Possession – Owners of apartments are at the mercy of the builders when it comes to possession of their property. The investor will have to bear any delays on the part of the builder. This, however, is not the case with plots where possession is immediate.
Customization – Owning a plot of land enables buyers to construct the residences of their dreams, meeting all their needs and wants. This is not the case in apartments, where home investors usually have to settle for the general plan and design of the builder.
Long-term or Short-term Investment – A plot of land is a long-term investment, whereas investment in an apartment ensures short-term gains. The investor has to decide what their priority is before investing in any type of property.
